DOWNSET Tour Postponed
May 20, 2004Los Angeles, California's DOWNSET have reportedly postponed their previously announced mini-tour due to the worsening health of vocalist Rey Orepeza's mother. The affected dates are as follows:
May 21 - Seattle, WA @ Graceland
May 23 - Portland, OR @ Roseland
May 24 - Boise, ID @ The Venue
May 25 - Salt Lake City, UT @ The Ritz
May 26 - Denver, CO @ Soiled Dove
The postponement is not expected to affect DOWNSET's participation in the upcoming Projekt Revolution tour, which is scheduled to kick off July 23 in Cincinnati and hit 32 North American stops this summer. Other groups set to appear on the trek are headliners LINKIN PARK, plus KORN, SNOOP DOGG, THE USED, GHOSTFACE, FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND and LESS THAN JAKE
DOWNSET's long-awaited new album, "Universal", is due on June 1 through the Seattle, Washington-based label Hawino Records. A brand new DOWNSET track, titled "Forever", has been posted online in MP3 format at this location.
The follow-up to 2000's "Check Your People" (Epitaph) was produced by guitarist Brian "Ares" Schwager, mixed by Wes Seidman and mastered by Tom Baker. It features the band lineup of Ares, Orepeza, Chris Lee (drums) and Rico Villasenor (bass).
